The LUC Activities Committee is a committee based on student initiative. We develop activities for our students to get them involved in activities outside of LUC’s regular curricular program. The Activities Committee focuses on bringing LUC’s students together as a community. By being a starting platform for various ideas proposed by our fellow students, we embark on organizing charity, volunteer and social events reflective of both Leiden University and the City of the Hague.
So far some of our successful events organized include a slew of international holiday parties such as the LUC Halloween party which is now well on its way of becoming an annual LUC tradition, Thanksgiving Dinner, and the Valentines Party. The big event of the Activities Committee in 2011 was the World Foresight Forum. Also the Activities Committee is now organizing (on every other Tuesday of the month) Beer Pong nights, creating yet another LUC tradition.
