Discussion: Chechnya’s concentration camps.

April 19 at 21:00 - 23:55

Several Chechen men have come out animously to spread awareness of the existence of concentration camps in Chechnya, the Chechen Republic part of the Russian Federation. With gruesome details of how they were handled in these places, with dozens thought to have been murdered as well, this brought the attention of Igor Kochetkov, a gay rights activist from St Petersburg. As he has tried to gain awareness for this issue, The Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has recently come out and saying that the existence of gay concentration camps in Chechnya is impossible seeing how according to him the are no Chechen gay men living in Chechnya. The first step into bringing light to this issue is through awareness, this is why the LGBTQ+ Diversity team has decided to hold a discussion regarding the issue to undertake this step
