The Film Committee has been set up to fulfil LUC’s every cinematographic need. Films can be – besides simply an entertaining medium – a source of information and inspiration for each of us. The Film Committee aims at combining all of the above three roles movies play in our lives. If you expect that its screenings will just be a “continuation of seminars by other means”, think again. If you expect the screenings will be just for laughs or cries, you’re equally wrong. Chosen films will range from comedy to horror, from classics to blockbusters, from foreign to domestic, from intellectual to slapstick. Every two weeks, another theme will pervade our cosy get-togethers. The Film Committee is also developing cross-over projects with other Committees. Beyond Arts and Act Aware activities provide great potential for a cinematographic impulse.
In total, the Film Committee can add to LUC life in profound ways. Every individual movie taste can and will be addressed. So don’t hesitate to sign up for at least one of our projects and we’ll hopefully see you, as Mia Wallace would say, “in two shakes of a lamb’s tail”.
